Kelly Rowland recruits Lil Wayne for the new song 'Motivation,' from her upcoming still-untitled third solo album.


The sexy R&B jam features sparse keyboard notes, programmed beats and subtle, pulsing synths that appear during the chorus. The former Destiny's Child singer promises to be her lover's motivation, singing:

"Oh lover, don't you dare slow down / Go longer, you can last more rounds / Push harder, you're almost there now / So go lover, make mama proud / And when we're done, I don't wanna feel my legs."

Wayne offers kitchen and car metaphors on his verse, rapping, "I put her on my plate, then I do the dishes / She my motivation, I'm her transportation / Cause I let her ride, while I drive her crazy / Then I just keep going going, like I'm racing / When I'm done, she hold me like a conversation."

'Motivation' is produced by Jim Jonsin, whose dozens of R&B credits over the past decade include Usher's 'There Goes My Baby,' Beyonce's 'Sweet Dreams' and Pitbull's 'Hotel Room Service.'


Rowland's next album has been delayed on multiple occasions and is currently planned for release sometime this year.

The song, as its title suggests, is about marriage, and plunging in cold feet and all: "Cause every time before it's been like / Maybe yes and maybe no / I won't live without it, I won't let it go / Whoa, what can I get myself into?"

Caillat knows about commitment. She's made tremendous strides since first trying to break into the business as a timid 'American Idol' hopeful, where she auditioned twice and both times was sent packing (the first time she was so terrified she couldn't sing). She turned to her MySpace profile to launch her career, and in her output leading up to and including 'I Do,' her sound has become increasingly more confident and focused.


'All For You' will be Caillat's third studio record, and will feature special guests, including Common. There are also rumors of a collaboration with the country group Lady Antebellum.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 28, 2010) - Jason Mraz has announced details of "Life Is Good," a live digital EP available October 5 recorded earlier this month on Mraz's current North American tour.

"Life Is Good" will feature live versions of four new songs, as well as a live version of "Coyotes" from Mraz's last studio album, WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS. (see tracklisting below).


Mraz and his band recorded the EP on the first three dates of his current tour -- in Bangor, Maine; Utica, NY; and at the Life Is Good Festival in Canton, MA. Mraz's tour, which is still winding its way across the continent, wraps up in Santa Barbara, CA on October 8 (see itinerary below).

"Life Is Good" will be available at all online retailers beginning October 5. Mraz will premiere the songs on his website, www.jasonmraz.com, starting with "Freedom Song" today.


More songs will be posted over the next week, along with candid videos shot by tour videographer Jeff Coffman on the road that capture Mraz explaining the origins and meanings of the new songs.

Mraz first heard "Freedom Song," after songwriter Luc Reynaud donated the song to a compilation album benefiting the homeless in his hometown of Seattle. Mraz, who was touched by the lyrics to the song, shared the song with a group of freed child slaves in Ghana this summer when he visited the country with the organization Free The Slaves.


This tour marks the first time Mraz has performed "Freedom Song" with his band. Additionally, the collection's other new songs, "San Disco Reggaefornia," "Up," and "What Mama Say," all results of Mraz's recent songwriting sessions, also made their live debut on this run of dates.

Following the conclusion of his tour dates, Mraz will return to the studio with WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS. producer Martin Terefe to complete his next full-length album, due out in 2011.

A trailer for "The Unforgiving", the long-awaited concept album from Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers WITHIN TEMPTATION, can be viewed below.

"The Unforgiving" was produced by Daniel Gibson and is based on a comic book story written by script writer Steven O'Connell (BloodRayne, Dark 48).

The band asked comic artist Romano Molenaar (Witchblade, Darkness, X-Men) to draw the characters and scenery of "The Unforgiving", which is set for release via Sony Music in Continental Europe and Roadrunner Records in the U.S., U.K. and Ireland, Japan and Australia.

The movie is a thriller inspired by the disappearance of Natalee Holloway on Aruba, the island where also the movie itself has been secretly shot.

WITHIN TEMPTATION recently postponed its previously announced European tour after it was revealed that the band's frontwoman, Sharon den Adel, was pregnant with her third child (father is WITHIN TEMPTATION guitarist Robert Westerholt).

The couple has a one-year-old son, Robin Aiden Westerholt, and a five-year old daughter named Eva Luna den Adel.

Drummer Stephen van Haestregt left WITHIN TEMPTATION earlier in the year in order to focus on his family life and work as a studio technician.

While in Germany recently to perform at the Telekom Extreme Playgrounds, PANIC! AT THE DISCO confirmed the titles of their next album and forthcoming new single in an interview with Disordered Kitten.

Panic! At The Disco's third album will be entitled 'Vices & Virtues' - "all the songs really relate to that title, all of them have to do with an inner battle" - and is expected to be released on March 29th, 2011. The first single is (tentatively) called 'Mona Lisa' and is expected to be released in late January next year.

Of the upcoming single, frontman Brendon Urie said: "Mona Lisa is a metaphor for the story that takes place in the song. It seems like it's about a guy and a girl but really it's more about a fight inside yourself. It's a schizophrenic kinda thing where you don't have to rely on people..."

Awesome as Fuck (also known as Awesome as F**k) is a live album by the American punk rock band Green Day, released March 22, 2011 through Reprise Records.

The album is composed of tracks recorded during Green Day's 2009–2010 21st Century Breakdown World Tour in support of their eighth studio album 21st Century Breakdown, and includes a DVD or Blu-ray of a concert recorded at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Reception

Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic remarked that Awesome as Fuck "satisfies without surprising [...] The set list is a good mix that leans heavily on Green Day’s new millennium standards and the bandmembers never sound tired playing: they hit their marks with enthusiasm, which is enough to make Awesome as F**k fun, if not quite a live album for the ages.

" David Fricke of Rolling Stone commented "This set is a contagious account of the power-fun streak that still runs through the band even after the two punk operas [...] Billie Joe Armstrong thoroughly enjoys his spotlight: shouting, cursing and letting audiences take whole verses of 'American Idiot' and 'Good Riddance.'

And drummer Tré Cool is way up in the mix, channeling the Clash's Topper Headon and the Who's Keith Moon with precise demonic glee."

Chris Conaton of PopMatters said that the album "has a bit of the odor of a record-company stopgap about it", noting the five-year gap between the band's last two studio albums, American Idiot (2004) and 21st Century Breakdown (2009), that was filled by the live album and DVD Bullet in a Bible (2005).

He noted that the band was "at least trying to do something different" with this second live album: Bullet in a Bible's album and video documented a single two-night stand in England, while Awesome as Fuck's album draws from sixteen different concerts around the world and the video is taken from a single show.

He also remarked that the album's tracklist contains "treats for longtime fans" in the form of "some of the band's lesser singles and even some deep album tracks"—including the previously unreleased "Cigarettes and Valentines" and the older tracks "Burnout", "Going to Pasalacqua", "J.A.R.", and "Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?"—saying "It’s this quintet of songs that really sets Awesome as F**k apart and gives it a kick as a live set.


He criticized the fact that hearing the songs played live was not that different from hearing the studio recordings, calling them "generally the same beyond Armstrong telling the crowd to sing this part or that" and remarking that Green Day's arena show is "a wonderful experience in person, but it understandably loses something in the translation to CD and DVD."
